YHVH Ropheka – YeHoVaH who heals you!
Healing is something that many believers long for today. Chronic diseases, cancers, tumours, birth defects, insomnia, anxiety, chronic fatigue, and pain are just a few health issues that people wish to be healed from. However, many people and medical professionals have discovered over the last decade that “healing” is a holistic issue. This is because many illnesses stem from trauma, inner turmoil, depression, brokenness, unforgiving hearts, and negative thoughts about oneself and the world.
So why is God not healing these “good” bible believing people?
Exodus 15:26 “And He said, “If you diligently obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim and do what is right in His eyes, and shall listen to His commands and shall guard all His laws, I shall bring on you none of the diseases I brought on the Mitsrites, for I am יהוה who heals you.”” TS2009
As you can see from this passage, there is an expectation for this promise of health to be yours. This is covenantal – OBEY THEN God will be your healer.
YHVH heals righteous people, not good people, people who SHEMA, hear and obey!
But to better understand what this promise of healing is let us look at what the word “heal” means:
Heal is רָפָא rāp̄ā’ (raw-faw’) in Hebrew, it is a verb that means to mend by stitching.
Biblically it is used to heal individuals in distress, heal hurts of nations involving restored favour, healing like a healer or physician.
This word is not just personal healing but it is also bringing relief to individuals in extreme anxiety, sorrow or pain AND national hurts.
In 2 Chronicles 7:14, we see Father saying that He will heal the land of the Israelites IF they humble themselves, pray and seek His face and turn from their wicked ways. So, does this mean that the land can carry the consequences of the sins of the people living in the land? Yes, we see this all over the world, nations that deny YHVH God and worship idols, their lands do not produce crops, their animals are sickly the water is polluted, and there is not enough rain in its seasons, which leads to famine and illness, premature deaths, birth defects and extreme poverty.
But I think the most profound thing to note is that God heals individuals in distress, extremely anxious people, in sorrow and pain. This is not physical pain but emotional anguish due to inner traumas that have not been dealt with.
And this healing is not always instant, it is mending as it where by stitching. Anyone who sews knows that stitching a garment takes time and patience.
Father wants to walk this path with you to heal you from the inside out, the more you draw into Him and build a relationship with Him, by studying the Word, fasting and praying daily, laying off the flesh, sacrificing the soul (mind, will and emotions of self) the more you will see transformation and healing in your life.
There is so much more one can expound on this topic of healing, all that you need to take from this is that YHVH God loves you, He longs to have an intimate relationship with you and He wants to heal you from the inside out. He wants to remove all your trauma, pain and sorrow that is leading to anxiety, depression and possibly other physical ailments, and He wants to mend your broken heart so that you can live with joy, peace and unity with others.
But that means you need to humble yourself and seek Him.
